Mrs. Williams has been with Cuba Middle Senior High School for eight school years. She attended Bradley University for her education. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Human Development Counseling. She is a national Certified Counselor (NCC), holds a School Counseling certification in two states and is a member of the Illinois Counseling Association (ICA). Her Thesis title is: Inclusion Significance: Families and Teacher Preparedness and a hard copy is on file in the Bradley University Library.
Mrs. Williams believes that all kids can learn and should be given the opportunity to have a fair chance in education, no matter what their background is or current situation. She was trained in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and helped to develop SEL at Cuba Middle Senior High School. Mrs. Williams believes that SEL is one of the most important aspects of a school's educational curriculum.
She has two, creative sons, one, sparkly daughter-in-law, three, humorous cats (Grandma to 2 of them), one, 95 pound, loveable, gentle-giant dog and she lives in Bartonville. She is an avid BlackHawks hockey & New Orleans Saints football fan, and a die-hard Chicago Cubs baseball fan- yep, a Cub fan, which means she has a very optimistic perspective. Her hobbies include creative tile work, acquiring a green thumb, listening to eclectic music, and playing Trivia Crack.
